Prominent Figures, Delegations at Makassed
By On June 22nd, a delegation from the US Department of State’s Bureau for Population, Refugees, and Migration Affairs and a delegation from the United Nations Development Program in Lebanon toured Ward Al Makassed Center, and learned more about the implemented projects and the handmade and food products produced by trainees.
On June 26th, Turkish Ambassador Ali Barış Ulusoy and the coordinator of “TIKA” in Beirut, Onur Ghez, visited Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association of Beirut.
The visit began with a meeting with Makassed President, Dr. Faisal Sinno, and members of the Board of Trustees. Then the delegation headed to Ward Al Makassed Empowering Center where they were briefed on the progress of the implemented development projects, before enjoying a lunch prepared by the women of the center.
On another hand, the Minister of Youth and Sports in Lebanon, Georges Kallas, met Makassed President, members of the board of trustees, and Makassed staff before touring Ward Al Makassed Center.
