In an affiliation with UNESCO or ALECSO, Ali Bin Abi Talib College joined the First Sub-Regional Student Forum on Sustainable Development Goals 2030, which was held remotely on November 2021.

The Forum comes within the framework of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s endeavor to implement and achieve the United Nations 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, the belief in contributing to these goals through efforts of the UNESCO and ALECSO affiliated schools’ networks, and the importance of youth’s participation for their influential role in society and at school.

The Jordan National Committee for Education, Culture and Science and Al-Jami’a schools Group, Jordanian schools affiliated with UNESCO and ALECSO, organized the forum with the participation of numerous Jordanian and Arab schools.

Coordinator Sanaa Itani and students Khaled Bakri, Youssef Kawwas, Sabine Bakhsh and Rama (Grade 11) were selected to take part in the Forum because of their experience in one of the following fields of sustainable development goals: health, gender equality, climate action, and consumption, with each student tackling his own expertise.

Al-Jami’a schools Group and Ali Bin Abi Talib College, under the auspices of the National Committee for UNESCO in Lebanon and Jordan and with the approval of the Jordanian Ministry of Education, agreed to achieve sustainable development goals through participatory projects that enhance 21st century skills of in our students and empowering them to become lifelong learners.
